People of Loveland - Meet Wendi
“People of Loveland”
I came down to play Cards Against Humanity at Grimm. Our team name was “The Inappropriate Parents”, and we played with my daughter whose team was “The Teenage Dirtbags”.
Grimm Brothers Brewhouse has really good beer, and it’s a fun place to be. My husband and I have been together since 1990 and love to come here.
I drive a late model 2013 Camaro at the Colorado National Speedway. I started racing in 2008 in Cheyenne at what is now Intermountain Speedway. I remember going to watch my nephew race. Shortly after, I bought a car and jumped into it. I have a championship in Cheyenne, and starting racing here in 2011.
In 2016, I ended the year in 6th place which is the highest placing female race driver in a late model at the Colorado National Speedway.
Right now, I need to find sponsors because my car owner retired.
If I don’t find sponsorship, I can’t race.
My top speed is 95-97 mph when I race.
I would also like to add, I have speed control on my personal car which is a 2012 camero.
Spending Valentine’s night at Grimm was great! I met some new friends, and love seeing familiar faces.
Tonight, I am drinking Father of Europa out of my personalized mug. There’s a 27 etched on it because that’s my race car number. “
